Scared to the Bone
It’s been a long day of scaring humans and Bob the skeleton is bone tired. As he walks home through the dark forest, he thinks about the people he scared that day.
There was the little boy who thought Bob was a Halloween decoration until Bob shouted “BOO!”. Then, the woman who screamed like a banshee when Bob fell out of her closet. Talk about skeletons in HER closet! Best of all, there was the businessman who was so busy with his phone, he didn’t even see Bob until he bumped right into him. Bob had never seen a human run so fast!
Bob is chuckling to himself when he hears footsteps behind him. He looks back, but no one is there.
Bob keeps walking. A branch snaps. Feeling a bit nervous now, Bob picks up the pace.
When Bob hears someone breathing heavily, he finally turns and shouts, “I know you’re there!”
A figure steps from the shadows… the businessman! His suit hangs in shreds.
“Oh! It’s you! Back for another scare?” Bob asks, laughing. The clouds part, revealing a full moon. A howl fills the night.
Bob’s laugh turns to a scream.
What dog doesn’t love bones?
